Job Summary
Provide a variety of complex administrative support, compliance, confidential, and office coordination to the nursing department. In addition, provides high‐level administrative support for the Health Professions Division, while providing recruitment aimed at supporting division goals
Job Duties:
Serves as departmental office coordinator by supporting Nursing faculty and department/division leadership with department operations.
Collects, analyzes and prepares complex confidential statistical data and prepares reports.
Plans meetings including logistics, secures resources and takes detailed minutes as needed.
Responds to confidential inquiries on behalf of the department.
Manages administrative functions on behalf of the administrator.
Manages departmental calendar to ensure schedule is aligned with upcoming deadlines and/or priorities.
Alerts and briefs manager on emerging issues, initiatives, and projects, and provides status reports on an ad hoc basis.
Initiates and coordinates departmental events.
Coordination of student orientation, training, and student events.
Responds to issues and concerns that affect the department and division.
Able to independently solve problems as issues arise.
Assists with high-level, confidential materials related to the department/division.
Assist Nursing Director with compliance regarding Kentucky Board of Nursing regulations and policies and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
Manages with coordination from Program Coordinators all compliance documentation for work-based learning experiences and initiates memorandum of agreements with work- based learning facilities for various academic programs.
Assist Pre-Nursing Enrollment Specialist in preparing correspondence and marketing for the nursing admission process.
Manages records of admission committee results.
Serves as support and point-of-contract for Nursing Transfer students.
Maintains the applications for the Pre-Nursing Selective Admission process.
In collaboration, provides outreach to ATCS, high schools, middle schools, community agencies, and employers to assist in recruiting students to the college.
Attends college fairs, health fairs, etc. for student recruitment purposes.
Assist with campus tours for the division.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent and 3-4 years of relevant experience
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5-7 years of relevant experience
Previous experience in a community college setting
