Job Summary

The History Area at BCTC is seeking qualified part-time faculty for on-site classes at the Danville, Georgetown, Lawrenceburg, Lexington, and/or Winchester campuses. * Additional qualifications to those listed below based on course subject may apply.

While we are primarily seeking applicants to teach on-site, adjuncts may be asked to teach using any of the following modes of instruction:
• On-site with in-person meetings two days per week,
• Hybrid with in-person meetings on-site one day per week paired with online instruction, and/or
• Online/asynchronous with no required on-site, in-person meetings.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and deliver course syllabi, lectures and/or labs relevant to the course description and student learning outcomes (Course and if applicable General Education).
• Develop individual, and contribute to the creation of common, course assignments (discussions, written work, research exercises, quizzes, exams, etc.) to evaluate student proficiency.
• Maintain regular contact with students promptly answering student emails and messages.
• Meet with students individually and/or in small groups to provide supplemental instruction, direction, and feedback.
• Provide an online course shell for students meeting minimum content and structure, including student access to syllabi and individual grades, for the mode of instruction.**
• Maintain student grades and complete institutional student progress reports as directed.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and reporting outcomes of program and course assessment.
• Complete mandatory annual employment training.
• Complete mandatory instructional training for mode of instruction, especially for instructors teaching in hybrid and/or online course modes of instruction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in History, or Master’s Degree (any subject) with 18 graduate hours in History. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience, including online classes. BCTC uses the Blackboard Ultra Course Management System.
• Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in multiple areas of History (U.S. History, World Civilization, Western Civilization, Kentucky History, Women’s History, and/or World War II).

Simulation Inventory & Equipment Assistant

HealthForce Kentucky (HFK) in collaboration with Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) is seeking applications for our Simulation Inventory & Equipment Assistant which supports the daily inventory, equipment, supply, and operational needs of HFK’s simulation programs. This position maintains accurate inventory records in the SHELF inventory management system, organizes simulation equipment and supplies, fulfills inventory requests from the Simulation team, and coordinates equipment warranty and repair processes. This is primarily an on-site position with occasional local, regional, or overnight travel that may occur when the employee is participating in Simulation Operations cross-training or supporting mobile/off-site simulation activities. Travel frequency will be based on program needs and assigned responsibilities. This role is intended to provide an entry point into healthcare simulation. Employees who demonstrate strong performance, technical aptitude, reliability, and competency may be well positioned to apply for future full-time Simulation Technician or Simulation Operations positions as opportunities become available. Financial Aid R2T4 Specialist (Financial Aid Advisor III)

Versailles, Kentucky Staff
This position serves as a technical specialist for Return of Title IV (R2T4) and Post-Withdrawal Disbursement processes within the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Central Processing Center. The position applies comprehensive knowledge of federal Title IV regulations, Department of Education guidance, and KCTCS policies and procedures to perform and support complex R2T4 processing activities. The position independently analyzes student enrollment, attendance, and withdrawal activity, including complex modular coursework, to determine R2T4 exemptions and complete complex federal withdrawal and post-withdrawal disbursement calculations. The position monitors system-generated reports, identifies processing exceptions and discrepancies, researches complex issues, and determines appropriate resolutions in accordance with federal regulations and established institutional and system procedures. The position serves as a technical resource to Financial Aid staff and Central Processing Center colleagues by providing guidance on complex R2T4 and post-withdrawal disbursement issues, reviewing calculations for accuracy, identifying potential compliance concerns, and recommending corrective actions. The position assists with the interpretation and implementation of changes to federal regulations and provides input regarding R2T4 procedures, technical documentation, and process improvements. The position also supports audit activities by providing technical information and documentation related to R2T4 calculations and processing decisions. This position requires the ability to exercise independent judgment in analyzing complex financial aid situations, interpreting applicable federal regulations, resolving exceptions, and applying established policies and procedures to unique or non-routine circumstances.
