Job Summary

This is a part-time, adjunct instructor appointment in the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology (HVAC) program in the Trade and Industry Division at the Jefferson Community and Technical College on the Technical Campus. The position requires scheduling flexibility, as it will involve teaching two evening classes. The classes begin August 2026.

Job Duties:

• The HVAC Program coordinator in coordination with the adjunct instructor to be hired will schedule the two classes.
• HVAC classes will be taught from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, Monday through Thursday.
• Maintaining student records and reporting grades

Minimum Qualifications:

Kentucky HVAC Journeyman/Master's license
Current EPA 608 license with 4 years of related work experience, or a BS in a related technical field and 2 years of work experience.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, experience, or evidence of commitment to excellence in teaching methodologies that effectively engage our student population. The candidate should have experience with instructional technologies, including presentation software and learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard). The candidate should also demonstrate proficiency with technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Additional Skills Requested:

Physical Requirements: Occasional and /or light lifting – limited exposure to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)
