Job Summary
Gateway is currently seeking an adjunct instructor to teach in-person/hybrid Psychology courses for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Wednesdays from 6:00-7:45pm at the Edgewood campus from 9/14/26-12/13/26
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:45pm at the Edgewood campus from 9/14/26-12/13/26
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45am at the Covington campus from 8/17/26-12/13/26
Job Duties:
- Provide instruction and familiarize students within the specific areas of study.
- Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in their respective field(s).
- Keep abreast of changes in their field and help keep the programs updated.
- Technical positions provide students with the background, knowledge, and basic skills needed to function effectively on the job.
- Preferred candidates would be able to teach at various levels to help support their programs.
- Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in their discipline or field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and, in writing.
- Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
- Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).
- Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
- Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
