Job Summary
The position’s primary purpose is to serve as the first line of support for the PeopleSoft Financials
modules (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, Billing, Budgeting, General
Ledger, Lease Administration, Procurement to Payment, Supplier Onboarding, Supplier Contract Management, and Travel/Expense). This position serves as a generalist triaging PeopleSoft Financials user issues, conducting
testing, and documenting solutions. This position reports to and assists the Director of Financials
Module System and works closely with the Financials Module Administrator on any number of
PeopleSoft Financials support functions. The position requires strong interpersonal and
communication skills, verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of
constituencies in a diverse community. The position must be able to analyze and solve problems,
have knowledge of and understand organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures to
ensure functionality of module applications are delivered and operate as expected.
Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.
KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time
Job Duties:
Responsible for timely assessing, researching, and resolving functional problems
encountered by KCTCS's Enterprise Resource Planning software for the financial related modules
for system users. Work cross functionally with technical staff to seek a solution to resolve problems
and communicate to users in a timely, effective manner. Seek solutions that can result in cost savings
and that reduce manual labor whenever possible.
Administrating PeopleSoft Financials security involving the development and maintenance
of security roles and permission lists in the PeopleSoft/Oracle Financial modules. Also entails assigning and maintaining users' IDs, roles, and access to the different financial modules.
Additionally, requires setup and maintenance for the workflow approval process. Oversees the annual
security audit and makes sure access has been verified.
Test, analyze the results, and perform additional testing to ensure functionality works as
desired and to help resolve functional issues when they arise to ensure a sound working knowledge of
the modules and their associated processes and functionality.
Research, analyze, test, and troubleshoot issues, including new pre-implementation of PeopleSoft/Oracle
modules functionality and functionality once installed and operating. Recommends, working with
Technology Solutions staff, items to be implemented in upgrades.
The Systems Coordinator and FSG staff are responsible for providing functional documentation
and training to end users for any new or existing functionality in PeopleSoft/Oracle Financials modules.
Documentation and training should be done in a timely basis, and should be well communicated prior to
any go live functionality.
The Systems Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing coaching, and monitoring the work
of a full time employee. Responsibilities including planning, discussing, and year end review using
the KCTCS Personal Performance Planning and Evaluation The Systems Coordinator is responsible for coaching
and supporting FSG staff and making sure they have opportunities to grow and learn through
professional development in-house/webinars/conferences, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
