Job Summary
This position provides clerical support to evaluate applications, enter admissions data, and share admissions decisions to serve the goal of recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented, diverse student body. This position may go to area high schools and community partner recruiting events to help in the admissions process of traditional and non-traditional students. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and familiarity with admissions policies.
Job Duties:
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Reviews student applicant files for accuracy and completeness and notifies applicants if critical information has been omitted in the application process.
2. Provides assistance to current and potential students, parents, counselors, and other personnel regarding admissions policies and applications status.
3. Must work closely with other departments, such as Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Business Office, and Recruitment to support student onboarding.
4. Assist in executing admissions-related events like open houses and application workshops.
5. Provide guidance to prospective students, parents, and guardians about college programs and services.
6. Troubleshooting issues with applications and resolve concerns quickly.
Job Duties:
1. Processes major change requests for students and faculty.
2. Manages the Scholarship application. Works with students if any information is missing.
3. Processed home campus changes from students.
4. Enters information from unofficial transcripts into Peoplesoft.
5. Goes to area high schools to help the recruitment team.
6. Helps colleagues with reports.
7. Any other job duties given by their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school degree/ 1-3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with traditional and non-traditional student populations.
• Knowledge of community college programs, services, and the admissions process.
• Knowledge of community organizations and area high schools.
