Job Summary

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with high schools, community organizations, employers, and other community partners to increase enrollment at the college. Supports the implementation of recruitment strategies designed to engage prospective students, organizes outreach events, collaborates with staff and alumni ambassadors, evaluates admissions applications, and represents the college to prospective students to attract, admit, and enroll a motivated student population. Provides basic advising and enrollment support through the Start Center to assist new students with program selection, enrollment steps, and first-semester registration.

Job Duties:

  • Establish a Gateway presence within the community by building and maintaining relationships with high schools, local employers, workforce development agencies, community organizations, and other community partners to increase enrollment on campus and online.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate recruitment and information sessions for prospective students, parents, and community partners to raise awareness about Gateway’s programs, financial aid options, and educational opportunities.
  • Deliver admissions and recruitment messaging to internal and external audiences, highlighting career pathways, short-term credentials, and transfer opportunities available to prospective students.
  • Coordinate and host recruitment events on campus and at community locations, including high school and community visits, open houses, and other outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with college departments and community partners to align recruitment strategies, share resources, and strengthen outreach pipelines that support student enrollment.
  • Provide basic advising and enrollment support through the Start Center, including assisting new students with program selection, enrollment steps, and first-semester registration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 0 to 2 years
  • Knowledge of FAFSA and financial aid options for adult learners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).


     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at the community college level.
