Job Summary
HealthForce Kentucky is looking for an Assistant Director of Education and Outreach, under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer. The successful applicant will bring experiences that understand program design and development, enjoy working in a fast-paced creative environment, excellent communication and organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. This position primarily focuses supervising the development of curriculum for skill development, simulation, and promoting healthcare pathways and pipelines in partnership with our 9 higher education partners engaging community partners and their learners to utilize our services. Job Duties:
• Actively participate in developing the HealthForce Kentucky strategic and operational plans as required by the Board of Directors, state legislation, and program goals.
• Perform duties as secretary of the Board of Directors.
• Work closely with consortium institutions, CEO, Board of Directors, and other team members to develop strategic planning, implement operational goals; to achieve successful results on established goals and professional development outreach.
• Collaborate to explore and obtain external grant opportunities and private donor support for sustainability of the center. Assist in administering grants according to specified guidelines and center leadership.
• Collaborate with the program leadership to oversee submissions of the center's annual report and develop a data collection plan relative to program operations and accreditation.
• Assist in the research of purchasing options for equipment and software.
• Train, mentor, schedule, and evaluate assigned program personnel.
• Ensure records and data are maintained, monitor and promote utilization, ensure financial responsibility, policy and procedure development, and compliance. Develop and maintain mechanisms to track and report data.
• Recommend evidence-based simulation models to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for faculty/staff development in the use of clinical simulation, debriefing, and assessment.
• Oversee active marketing of program materials, communications, and social media.
• Build and foster relationships with component partners, schools, faculty, and select community organizations.
• Participate in philanthropic fund-raising efforts.
• Facilitate collaboration and warm hand offs.
• May have up to 30 percent travel with overnights required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• *A master’s degree in healthcare discipline or equivalent is required.
• Three (3) years of experience in healthcare education and training, as well as implementation of innovative simulations-based education and training programs, or equivalent
• Two (2) years of prior supervisory experience required.
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator certification (CHSE) or within 2 years of hire.
**Equivalent would equal MS with three (3) years’ work experience OR BS with five (5) years’ work experience OR AS/AA with seven (7) years’ work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• The implementation of innovative simulation-based education and training programs experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a hospital clinical setting, healthcare education and simulation.
• Experience with healthcare education project management.
• Progressive experience in a leadership, management, and education environment with supervision and/or coordination of diverse and multiple groups of individuals involved in simulation.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment for adult learners.
• Experience with project management.

• Coordinate scheduling to ensure secondary and post-secondary partner needs are met.
• Work with internal and external individuals from different disciplines and different levels of training needs.

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and efficient organizational skills
• Knowledge of healthcare simulation accreditation or ability to learn the accreditation processes for successful submission and achievement.
• Knowledge and clinical experience with skills, simulations, and computer-assisted learning.
