Salary Range: $48,168 (Salary is to commensurate with education/experience and internal equity)

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Job Summary

This position is responsible for conducting Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance inspections, identifying hazards and accessibility barriers, recommending corrective actions, and delivering training on EHS-related topics to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and promote a safe and accessible learning and working environment.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time

Job Duties:

Conduct EHS inspections (labs, shops, offices, grounds, housing, events)• Conduct routine and special EHS inspections in academic, administrative, and operational facilities

• Identify hazardous conditions related to chemical safety, fire safety, biological hazards, ergonomics, electrical safety, and general workplace safety

• Evaluate compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and state regulations

• Recommend corrective actions and track remediation progress

Conduct ADA accessibility inspections and assessments

• Perform ADA accessibility inspections of facilities, parking, routes, restrooms, signage, and program access

• Identify physical and programmatic accessibility barriers

• Prepare written ADA inspection reports and recommendations

• Coordinate with facilities, administration, and leadership on remediation priorities

Develop inspection reports, corrective action plans, and follow-up documentation

• Prepare inspection reports, findings, and corrective action recommendations

• Maintain inspection and training records

• Assist with audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal reviews

Provide technical guidance on EHS and ADA compliance requirements

Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Facilities Management, or related field

Additional Skills Requested:

Knowledge

• OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable state safety regulations

• ADA Title II and ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG)

• EHS inspection methodologies and hazard recognition

• Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods

• Ability to access confined spaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

• Frequent travel to multiple campuses and facilities

Skills

• Writing clear, defensible inspection reports

• Public speaking and safety training delivery

• Interpreting regulatory requirements
