Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for the Helpdesk Coordinator II position. This position will give technology support for evening classes and events. The Helpdesk Coordinator II position will primarily serve the Hazard Campus and the Technical Campus. Shift hours will primarily be Monday through Friday 12:00 pm -8:30 pm. Review of applications will begin August 13, 2026.

Job Duties:

Duties to include, but not be limited to:
•Assist students, faculty, and staff with computer hardware and software issues in classrooms, labs, and offices.
•Provide technical support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
•Perform basic troubleshooting and support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
•Deliver technical assistance and maintenance for Smart Classrooms and AV equipment.
•Maintain daily operations and user support in campus computer labs.
•Provide end-user support for PeopleSoft-related help desk tickets.
•Manage user accounts, group memberships, and permissions in Active Directory.
•Perform basic computer management tasks including imaging, software installation, updates, and asset tracking.
•Assist with basic computer networking tasks, including running and terminating network cables, identifying port locations, and testing connectivity.
•Perform other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school degree plus one year related experience.

This position involves running cable and will require being able to climb ladders and carry loads of 25 pounds plus.
