Job Summary

The Humanities Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening to teach online sections GER 102 through the downtown Jefferson Community and Technical College campus. This position begins in the Spring semester, January 2027.

Job Duties:

To teach courses, maintain some office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback

Minimum Qualifications:

Eighteen graduate hours in German or Germanic Studies, or a completed Master’s degree, or a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

· This position requires the ability to work with various constituencies of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
· Candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to working with all students through teaching, mentoring, or administration are especially encouraged to apply.
· Candidates skilled in engaging and supporting students at the community college level are encouraged to apply.
