Title: Grant Specialist III

Salary Range: $$48,168 or commensurate with relevant experience

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the full-time Grant Specialist III is to match external funding/support opportunities with the mission of the college and with faculty/staff who are subject matter experts in the field. Responsible for the development of grants. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external agencies to aggressively pursue external grant funding.

Job Duties:

1. Research external funding possibilities for strategic priorities of Maysville Community and Technical College.

2. Develop and write funding applications for the college.

3. Partner with faculty, staff, external agencies, and KCTCS System Office to seek additional funds to meet the needs of Maysville Community and Technical College.

4. Serve as coordinator for writing, editing, and reviewing grants content. Review requests for application documents and grant guidelines.

5. Ensure smooth transition of funded projects to the assigned project director.

6. Assist project director with preparation of reports related to grants and contracts. Prepare support documents and grant budget, cognizant of KCTCS policy.

7. Create templates of generic information for use in grants development.

8. Maintain funded grant database and provide progress reports to leadership.

9. Work as liaison between college and funding agency. Seek opportunities to leverage private giving with grant opportunities.

10. Monitor compliance with grant agreement guidelines. Review grants and contracts for compliance with laws, regulations, and program policies.

11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree preferred.
