Job Summary

This position provides strategic leadership and oversight of all KCTCS allied health programs, including academic and workforce training efforts aligned with Kentucky's allied healthcare pipeline. The Strategic Lead of Allied Health Programs leads curriculum alignment, regulatory compliance, and key external partnerships across the system. The role serves as the primary allied health liaison to healthcare and educational associations ensuring employer feedback and participation into academic programs. Oversight includes management of key external partnerships, clinical affiliation agreements, and healthcare-related grants.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time

Job Duties:

Serves as a strategic advisor and leader for all Allied Health Curriculum Committees across KCTCS colleges, providing guidance to ensure the alignment of allied health programs to meet evolving licensure standards and employer demands. Leads cross-functional teams in the innovation and expansion of existing and potential offerings along with assisting with implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing Kentucky's healthcare workforce. Collaborates closely with presidents, SO leaders, CAOs, and program leaders to drive impactful, data-informed decisions that improve program effectiveness, student outcomes, and workforce readiness. Utilize workforce data and licensure outcomes to refine academic and workforce preparation pathways.

Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with regulatory and professional organizations, including the Kentucky Primary Care Association (KPCA), Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KBEMS), Department of Public Health, Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE), Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA), and others across the Commonwealth. Ensures KCTCS programs remain compliant with evolving regulations and aligned with state and national standards. Serves as the system's lead allied health subject matter expert, representing KCTCS on advisory boards and workgroups to inform policy, advocate for education and workforce priorities, and guide initiatives related to innovation and expansion of healthcare opportunities.

Collaborates closely with Academic Affairs and cross-functional teams to innovate and expand allied health transfer pathways with partner institutions, credit-for-prior-learning opportunities, including high school articulation agreements, aimed at accelerating student progression, reducing time to completion, and improving employability. Spearheads novel initiatives at the system level to streamline and expand educational pathways that align with both industry needs and workforce demands. Leads and mentors a team focused on supporting these initiatives, overseeing the management of allied health affiliation agreements, securing and administering grants, and ensuring rigorous reporting and compliance. Champions continuous process improvement to optimize program efficiency, student success, and alignment with healthcare workforce needs.

Ensures the successful execution of statewide allied health workforce initiatives in collaboration with Workforce Solutions, overseeing the development and management of contracts, memoranda of agreement, and ensuring strict compliance with policies. Provides strategic oversight for allied health workforce grants and collaborates with clinical facilities to enhance clinical placements, ensuring adherence to the Administrative Policy 4.10.2 for Clinical Agreements. Expand opportunities for clinical site placements, fostering growth and ensuring alignment with current healthcare industry demands.

Facilitate stakeholder collaboration to incorporate employer feedback and participation into programs through advisory boards and partnerships. Maintains continuous feedback loops with statewide partners and critical stakeholders to inform programmatic innovations that address workforce shortages. These efforts are intentionally aligned with the curriculum review and alignment process to ensure programs remain responsive to evolving industry needs and standards.

Additional Skills Requested:

Community college teaching experience in a healthcare program is desirable. The position will work to ensure healthcare programs are aligned and meeting the needs and requirements of respective business/industry sectors.
