Job Summary

This position is full-time with HealthForce Kentucky through Owensboro Community and Technical College. We invite you to apply for our full-time Healthcare Simulation Instructional Designer. This position develops instructional best practices and applies simulation standards of best practice using technology and trains content experts to deliver end-user training. This is an in-person position. Position is grant funded and continuation is contingent upon future funding.

Job Duties:

• Train and assist faculty with creating innovative course development utilizing Echo Immersive Software, zSpace 3D computers, Anatomage Software, and healthcare simulation-based equipment, and other electronic applications.
• Research and implement ways to improve content delivery and professional development opportunities for HealthForce Kentucky and the components served.
• Maintain and promote faculty and staff use of the Professional Development and organization site. This includes scheduling, posting documentation, reporting, and media checkout.
• Actively look for innovative ways to teach & learn, sharing best practices, and training others using physical and electronic resources.
• Implement, train, and provide technical support to faculty and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Communications, Human Resources Training & Development, or Technical Writing) plus two years of relevant work experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills with Microsoft software, Blackboard or other CMS, web development, healthcare simulators, and multimedia presentation preferred.

Additional Skills Requested:

• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• High level of customer service is essential.
• Supports HealthForce Kentucky events as needed.
• Intermittent travel may be required up with occasional overnight. Travel reimbursement is provided.
• Other duties as assigned.
