Job Summary

Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the (Student Only) part-time position of Information Technology Solutions Dept. Assistant. This position assists staff in the IT/Technology Solutions department with equipment and software.

The Federal Work Study program provides funding for part-time employment to qualifying Gateway students. If you have unmet financial need as determined by the most recent FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), are enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at Gateway and have a GPA of at least 2.0, you may be eligible for FWS. Work Hours: Monday – Friday, daytime, flexible

Job Duties:

• Collect, store, retrieve and update information technology equipment.
  
• Format and evaluate technology to ensure that software and data are configured correctly.
  
• Exercise proper procedures and resolve repetitive problems related to equipment.
  
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to maintain an established work schedule
  
• Be able to learn technical skills and work effectively
  
• Good organizational and time management skills to accomplish tasks
  
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
