Job Summary

The Institutional Effectiveness Specialist III works independently to support the Office of Research and Policy Analysis (ORPA) by conducting evaluation research, statistical analysis, and forecasting to assess student outcomes and institutional performance. The position focuses on outcome metrics, evaluation design, responding to data requests, and advanced analytical work, while also contributing to survey research and survey design.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.

Job Duties:

Leads evaluation research initiatives to measure student success, program performance, and institutional effectiveness. This includes developing written reports and research briefs.

Develops calculates, and validates student outcome metrics.

Performs statistical analysis, longitudinal and time-series analysis, and develops and maintains data visualizations using software
such as Power BI, Stata, R, and Microsoft Excel.

Conducts enrollment and workforce forecasting and trains Institutional Research/Insitutional Effectiveness (IR/IE) college staff to conduct independent forecasting.

Assists with organizing and completing internal and external data requests.

Uses and integrates data from internal and external sources, including KYSTATS, U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Lightcast, and internal dashboards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
