Job Summary
Full-time 10-month faculty appointment available in the Practical Nursing program, which is located on the Leestown campus, Lexington. This position requires flexibility of scheduling which may include evenings and weekends and in a variety of health care facility locations.
Job Duties:
Effectively teach nursing courses for Nursing Division as assigned by BCTC.
Advise students for major and discipline requirements. Be actively interested in the success of the student.
Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of nursing offerings, including clinical laboratory experiences and campus laboratory experiences.
Promote instructional integrity and general education core curriculum.
Actively utilize technology as a learning tool and actively evaluate instructional tools for effective learning.
Actively utilize instructional and discipline research data to employ methods for continuous improvement in instructional and institutional effectiveness.
Maintain, complement, and improve, through professional development competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques and capabilities.
Participate in Continuing Education and Community Service offerings.
Serve on division, college and system committees as elected or appointed.
Participate in academic and student enhancement activities.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing
Must have an active and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Kentucky
Minimum of two years practice experience within the past five years
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred
