We’re seeking a Respiratory Therapy Instructor to prepare the next generation of healthcare providers through both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training. POSITION BEGINS: July 1, 2026
Job Duties:
• Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice of Respiratory Therapy. Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Prepares lesson plans, instructional activities, and maintains records and reports on student learning.
• Participate in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and expertise, student advising, follow-up services to assist in student placement, and recruitment of new students for program area. Serves on college committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor.
• May be required to teach evening hours, or at other campus locations as the need arises.
• Serves as Respiratory Program Director responsible for curriculum committee duties on state level and continued accreditation responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license, a minimum of four (4) years’ work related experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least two years in clinical respiratory care and a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience as a faculty member in a CoARC accredited program or clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs. All applicants must meet the licensure requirements of the occupation. Must possess excellent organizational, customer service, and public speaking skills as well as be current with technology and computer skills. Excellent benefit package provided.
