Job Summary
Responsible for training and developing potential line workers in the technical skills and safety protocols required for working on electrical power lines.
Job Duties:
Deliver instructional materials,
Conduct hands-on training sessions,
Evaluate students’ performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requires experience as a line worker, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor and guide students in a high-risk environment.
Ideal candidates should be passionate about safety and committed to preparing the next generation of line workers.
Provide in-person instruction to students outside at the pole yard.
Maintenance and care of training materials will also be expected.
Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of relevant experience/ industry certifications a plus
Understanding and experience with electrical power line safety requirements.

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment and external business and community partners, representing himself/herself professionally and courteously.
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent
Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
Additional Skills Requested:
This is an hourly position working with students on poles alongside the full-time instructor.
