Job Summary

The primary purpose of the full-time Maintenance Technician II is to provide general maintenance with an emphasis on commercial equipment and upkeep of building and grounds to maintain a safe and clean environment for learning.

Job Duties:

• Perform HVAC monitoring/maintenance for commercial buildings that would include knowledge in boilers, chillers and water source heat pumps (geo-thermal and water source heat pumps).
• Perform general electrical repairs and service that includes working with voltages ranging from 120 to 480. Required to install receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast, and replace light fixtures.
• Perform general commercial plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Perform dry wall repairs, painting repair, door repair, hanging, and installation of ceiling and floor tiles. Must be comfortable on ladders or scaffolds up to 30 feet.
• Performs grounds maintenance such as: mowing, weed eating, trimming trees, planting, snow removal, parking lot repairs. Clean leaves, dirt, and debris from building entryways. Inspect and clean sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways as needed. Pick up trash across campus and its perimeter.
• Perform general equipment repairs and furniture assembly.
• Perform general custodial duties when custodial workers are off the schedule. Assists with set up and tear down for campus events with the custodial workers.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or Director of Maintenance & Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma with one year related experience.
• Moderate physical requirements (lifting, bending, or other physical exertion).
• Solid basic knowledge of general electric repairs and safety.
• Demonstrated commitment to attendance, punctuality, safety, and general soft skills in the workplace.
