Job Summary
The Kentucky Fire Commission is seeking a Senior Information Technology Coordinator to perform a wide range of IT services across the state. This role includes supporting and maintaining wired and wireless network infrastructure, as well as providing day to day technical support to staff. The position supports equipment such as desktop computers, projectors, copiers, cameras, cell phones, and printers. The position is located in Paris, KY.
Job Duties:
Provide technical support and training to the Fire Commission across a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to:
Desktop and laptop computers
Audio/visual and conferencing hardware and software support for virtual meetings
Scanners and multi-function print devices
Tablets, iPads, and other mobile devices using Jamf Mobile Device Manager
Juniper Network Infrastructure Mist
Cellular and related communication technologies
Meraki camera systems and associated monitoring and management platforms
Assess computer systems and software to ensure all functionality requirements and security standards are met.
Install, update and troubleshoot entity software and hardware.
Administer and support networked systems, building access controls, and security systems.
Support, monitor, and troubleshoot local area and wide area network connections across Fire Commission locations.
Coordinate with vendors and contract staff related to technology infrastructure, procurement and integrated technology solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and six (6) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Additional Skills Requested:
Knowledge of Microsoft configuration manager networked systems, Active Directory, and end user computing environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network platforms.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and resolve complex issues.
Ability to establish trust and maintain positive working relationships with staff and leadership.
