Salary Range: $53,000.00

Contract Term Length: 10 Months

Standard Hours: 37.50

Job Summary

The Allied Health Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Surgical Technology Full-Time Instructor.

Job Duties:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This position will be responsible for:
• Didactic and clinical instruction in the Surgical Technology program
• Continued growth as an instructor and surgical technologist via professional development
• Coordination and monitoring of student clinical placements at local healthcare facilities
• Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records according to all JCTC and ARC/STSA policies and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by Surgical Technology program coordinator and Dean of Allied Health.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 3 years of precepting or teaching experience  

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication, organization, and student support skills
Experience with curriculum development, accreditation standards, or program assessment is a plus.

Comfortable environment and sedentary work: no unusual physical requirements
