Job Summary

The primary purpose of the part-time Tutor – English/Writing is to coordinate the learning center or lab to provide English/Writing tutoring and computer technical support.

Job Duties:

• Tutor students in English/Writing in labs.
• Provide students with supplemental assistance in Writing and English.
• Attend courses, seminars or workshops to update skills and knowledge as new technology is developed.
• Assist in maintaining administrative records and statistics for lab usage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree (related field), and two years of experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adjust tutoring methods based on individual student needs.
• Ability to work with students at different learning paces and provide support as needed.
• Ability to encourage students to actively participate and reach their learning goals.
