Job Summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College's Workforce Solutions department is seeking instructors to provide training for business and industry clients throughout our 10-county service area. We also provide open enrollment and community education classes. With the expected growth in this region, we need to increase our instructor pool to sustain our current demands for training. We are looking for individuals that are available to teach during day.  This position allows for a flexible schedule. 

Job Duties:

Provide effective instruction to students online and/or in the classroom by preparing for each learning experience, providing supplemental materials to enhance textbooks and lessons, and using effective evaluation methods to measure student performance. The training curriculum is provided.

Ensure teaching and working environment (classroom, lab, studio) by maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring overall cleanliness, functionality, and conformance to OSHA standards.

Maintain accurate records (such as attendance, grades, and documentation) and submit any corresponding reports according to departmental or college guidelines.



Qualifications:


While significant job experience is the driving qualification, formal degrees and certifications are preferred.

    • FMEA & Control Plan
    • Statistical Approach

• Lean Manufacturing

• Industrial Safety
• Microsoft Applications ( Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and others)

• Management-Supervisory Development

• PLCs- Mitsubishi preferred

Must possess curriculum organization, learning activity facilitation and teaching presentation skills; able to communicate effectively; able to work as part of a team and must value collaboration and possess an educational philosophy that is compatible with the mission of the community college.

All adjunct positions are contingent upon enrollment needs and funding.

All employees are paid by direct deposit.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation requires faculty and staff to have their official transcripts on file.
