Tuition Waiver

All Colleges within KCTCS offer tuition waivers to employees, spouses and dependent children (age 23 or less, as defined by federal financial aid guidelines) for up to 18 credit hours per year (six hours in the fall, spring, and summer) per person at any KCTCS college.

Community Service Day

KCTCS employees receive 7.5 hours of paid time off to volunteer per Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30). Spend your day-off volunteering and wearing your College's gear making our community a better place!

Institutional Close

All Colleges within KCTCS observe a two-week institutional closing beginning in December, which will include the day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The EKSC provides strategic, administrative, educational, and operational leadership for the Center and its programs at Big Sandy Community and Technical College. Student Success Coach CARES Grant

The Student Success Coach plays a critical role in supporting students throughout their academic journey. This grant funded position is responsible for providing personalized academic advising, coaching, and support to help students achieve their educational and career goals. The Success Coach will engage students early in their academic careers, assist with course selection, help students navigate college resources, and promote retention and graduation by addressing academic and personal challenges. This role emphasizes proactive advising, student empowerment, and building strong, supportive relationships with students.

Temporary Adjunct Professional Development Trainer

Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC) Workforce Solutions seeks qualified adjunct instructors to deliver engaging, high-quality professional development training for business, industry, government, healthcare, education, and community organizations. Instructors will facilitate workforce training programs in areas such as leadership development, communication skills, conflict management, team building, customer service, emotional intelligence, workplace professionalism, supervisory skills, change management, and other organizational development topics. Adjunct instructors are responsible for creating a positive learning environment, delivering interactive instruction, and helping participants develop practical skills that improve workplace performance and organizational effectiveness.
