Job Summary
SKYCTC Upward Bound Math & Science program is seeking a part-time, temporary mathematics instructor for its Summer Academy program from June 2 - July 5.
Job Duties:
SKYCTC Upward Bound Math & Science program is seeking a part-time, temporary mathematics instructor for its Summer Academy program from June 2 - July 5. The Math instructor will teach a variety of subjects of mathematics including, but not limited to algebra I, algebra II, geometry, pre-calculus, or calculus.
Essential duties and responsibilities of the include the following:
• Preparing course plans and materials.
• Design grade-appropriate curriculum based on Kentucky state standards of learning.
• Incorporate ACT math questions, test prep and hands-on activities into courses.
• Delivering in-seat courses to high school students grades 9-12.
• Evaluating student progress.
• Provide tutoring as needed.
• Teach two – three sections Monday-Thursday (virtually and in-person)
• Attend instructor meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in STEM, education, counseling, or related field, and a minimum of one year of teaching experience. The ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and adjust to changing priorities is necessary. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes both daytime and evening hours.
