Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for a full-time, 12 month Medical Assisting Instructor. This position will teach a variety of modalities such as online, on campus, and/or blended learning.

Job Duties:

Duties to include, but not be limited to:
• Teaching medical assisting procedures, administrative medical assisting, basic financial management, medical practice and other related training.
• Creating course content and presenting lectures and demonstrations.
• Providing didactic and clinical instruction and evaluation.
• Implement retention strategies to coach/advise students.
• Complete instructional tasks such as beginning of term processes (syllabi/door schedules), no-show reporting, course assessment/related reporting, early intervention reporting, and end of term processing (grades/reporting submissions).
• Participate in professional development and college/department meetings.
All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or equivalent and 3-4 years relevant experience.
Certification in Medical Assisting by an organization whose credentialing exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCAA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or under International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
