Job Summary

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. Job Duties:

• Coordinate the overall clinical aspects of the respiratory care program activities with the Program Director and Associate Dean of Health Sciences.
• Demonstrate proficiency in instruction, evaluation, and supervision of students.
• Coordinate clinical education with didactic education.
• Coordinate clinical activities and maintain clinical competencies.
• Provide direct and indirect supervision of students while with students at clinical sites.
• Develop clinical schedules, syllabi, and orientation information.
• Oversee the collection, maintenance, and reporting of all documentation, in CastleBranch, required by the clinical sites.
• Participate in local events related to student recruitment and any other activities related to the respiratory care program and community outreach.
• Comply with standards for accreditation Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
• Maintain confidential student records in compliance with MCC policies and procedures.
• Maintain clinical and educational competencies in area of instruction.
• Participate in department and college committee assignments, student advising, community service, and professional development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is
preferred
• Four (4) year’s work experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
• Two (2) years’ experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs
• Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current unencumbered state license;
• Community college teaching experience is preferred.
