Job Summary
Recruits and supports low-income and at-risk students who receive Kentucky Temporary Assistance Program (KTAP) benefits, aiming to enhance their GED attainment, college enrollment, retention, and success rates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, academic advising, career counseling, case management, human resources management, and activities related to student recruitment and retention, as specified by the grant.
Job Duties:
Provides comprehensive case management services, including intake, assessment, advocacy, mentoring, education and employability planning, retention and completion strategies, and coaching.
Develops and assesses action plans to address students' academic and non-academic needs, monitors student achievement, and offers academic advising and support.
Delivers career coaching through student self-assessment, goal setting, career exploration, and the development of workplace skills.
Creates meaningful work experience and work-study placements both on and off campus, supervises work-study students, and acts as a liaison with work placement supervisors. Mentors students in professional development, job readiness, and workplace principles.
Identifies and recruits eligible participants within the community and educational providers, collaborates closely with the Department of Community Based Services

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in social work, psychology, counseling, education, or a related field
Four to six years of relelvant expeirence
Previous experience with case management including intake, assessment, advocacy, and mentoring.
High attention to detail, independent, self-motivated, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
Skilled in engaging and supporting students from diverse different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Professional and courteous communication at all levels, both internally and externally.
Clear verbal and written skills.
Efficiently prioritize and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the Department of Community Based Services.
Experience working at the community college level.

Collaboration: Ability to work closely with the Department of Community Based Services and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Developing strategies for retention and completion, and addressing both academic and non-academic needs.

Office Assistant, Library, Switchboard, Labs, Maintenance and/or other areas as needed.
General office duties: organizing, copying, scanning, filing, data entry.
