Salary Range: $55,392-$69,252

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Job Summary

  • The Kentucky Fire Commission is committed to enhancing safety and education within the fire service for the citizens and industries within the Commonwealth through standardized special and technical education, training, communication, coordination, and the distribution of funds to the agencies throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Job Duties:

  • Provide supervision and oversight for the Training Records and Compliance Specialists as well as technical guidance in the areas of KRS, KAR, and Fire Commission Policies. Conduct investigations originating from Training and Compliance reviews or complaints received by the Fire Commission. Report to the Director of Operations on the status of training and compliance reviews, complaints and investigations. Collaborate with other local, state and federal agencies and departments to complete investigations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and eight years of service with a recognized fire department with four years of relevant investigative experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and ten years of service with a recognized fire department with four years of relevant investigative experience.
