Job Summary
The Environmental Services Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a full-time Team Lead Custodial Worker for the Downtown campus. This is a second-shift position; work hours are 2 pm until 10 pm.
Job Duties:
Essential Functions:
The primary duties of this position are to coordinate second-shift employees cleaning responsibilities, address areas of need, provide training to staff, maintain adequate supply levels, track usage and submit supply requests, perform general cleaning of the campus and stocking of supplies as needed. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Provide clean and sanitary facilities for students, staff, faculty, and the general public daily.
Perform floor maintenance such as shampooing carpet, sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
Perform other duties as assigned
Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
1. Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
2. Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances, and reports issues to appropriate entities.
3. Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed.
General classroom or building cleaning, bathroom cleaning and sanitation, and simple floor care.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED, and three years of related experience, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous supervisory cleaning experience and custodial experience, Knowledge of machines and cleaning tools.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift 20 pounds. The employee may be on their feet for long periods of time.
