Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College is accepting applications for the Academic Advisor II position. The Academic Advisor II position will provide support to dual enrolled high school students and parents by serving as the communication contact between the college, the student, parents of students and secondary partners. This position will provide academic and career counseling to enhance students’ academic success. Application will close July 21, 2026.

Job Duties:

Duties:
•Serve as the communication point of contract for the dual credit student, serving as liaison between the student, the parents of the student, the high school point of contact, and the college. Serving as the communication point of contact will include visits to the service area high schools and other service sites as needed.
•Responsible for data entry for all information relating to dual credit students ensuring that entries are accurate and generating reports for review. Generation of reports to allow for any potential changes/errors to be entered and updated.
•Provide general education and pathway advising for students in the Next Gen and early college programs.
•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education counseling or related field plus 2 years related experience.
