Job Summary
Provides administrative support for the Dental Hygiene Clinic, including maintaining all accounts and assisting with clinic operations. This position reports to the Dental Hygiene Program Coordinator and works closely with the Dental Hygiene Clinic Coordinator.
Job Duties:
- Performs secretarial and receptionist type duties enabling the dental hygiene clinic to run efficiently which includes greeting patients, scheduling patients, processing fees and managing financial accounts and paperwork for the clinic.
- Schedule/Walkout patients in digital software, following procedure, enabling students to have access to a diverse patient population during clinical lab.
- Assist in managing all inventory supplies, which includes ordering, stocking, and distributing supplies to the operatories.
- Assist in maintaining all clinic equipment.
- Oversee sterilization operation.
- Assist with directions of the work-study student (if using).
- Assists Clinic Coordinator with maintaining and the overseeing of the daily operation of the clinic. Use of interpersonal skills to promote the Dental Hygiene Clinic.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and one-year related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dental experience and knowledge are preferred. Digital software experience (Open Dental, Upscale Assessment)
- PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, Excel.
- OSHA and HIPAA regulation knowledge.
- Spanish-speaking skills a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
