Job Summary
Somerset Community College is accepting applications for an Associate VP of Advancement- Mgr IV - Corporate/Found Rel position. This position is responsible for leading and directing foundation relations initiatives by identifying opportunities, needs, and resources that support and strengthen both KCTCS and the SCC Foundation. The Associate VP of Advancement will oversee the development and coordination of strategic partnerships, working closely with community stakeholders across a 13 county service area. This position requires a high level of community engagement, collaboration, and relationship-building to advance the mission and impact of the institution and its foundation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to developing and maintaining partnerships and supporting educational advancement. Familiarity with the 13 county service area and its communities is strongly preferred, as this role requires extensive regional involvement. The anticipated start date for this position is July 16, 2026.
Job Duties:
1. Oversee the SCC Foundation and advancement.
2. Participating member of the Peer Team at systems level.
3. Coordinate with president on foundation board member assignments.
4. Work with prospective donors and businesses.
5. Maintain existing foundation relationships.
6. Manage and provide guidance to advancement staff at SCC.
7. Provides good stewardship of college gifts and gift accounts. Including endowments, trusts, and all foundation accounts.
8. Assist the College President in community and legislative relationships.
9. Serve as alumni relations coordinator for the college.
10. Serve on SCC and KCTCS teams as requested.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years supervisory experience and five to seven years work related experience or equivalent.
