Title: Human Resources Specialist (HR Partner II)

Salary Range: $41,880.00 annual minimum starting salary 

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Work Location: On-Site

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Are you passionate about people, processes, and making a positive impact in a dynamic workplace? Maysville Community & Technical College is seeking a skilled human resources professional to support our HR team in delivering outstanding services. The HR Specialist will assist with a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, purchasing, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, records management, HR data, and compliance. This role ensures efficient processes, exceptional customer service, and dependable support for faculty, staff, and leadership.

Job Duties:

-Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, coordinating interviews, and communicating with applicants
-Support hiring and onboarding processes
-Help manage benefits enrollment, employee questions, and leave of absence processes
-Maintain accurate employee records and support HR data integrity across systems
-Contribute to HR reports, audits, and compliance requirements
-Assist with purchasing-related tasks tied to HR operations
-Provide responsive, professional HR support to faculty and staff
-Help promote an engaging, positive workplace culture on campus
-This role will be housed at the Maysville campus; Travel will be required to other campuses as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Experience  

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in human resources or related field (business, psychology, sociology, etc.)
2+ Years of Human Resources experience
Knowledge with Benefits, HRIS or data entry systems, and/or recruitment
