Job Summary

Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College is seeking a dynamic and creative Multimedia Specialist to support enrollment, advancement, and PR strategies for all campuses. This role requires a versatile individual who can effectively balance multiple responsibilities across video production, photography, graphic design, production and printing, and broadcast/TV content creation. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for visual storytelling, technical expertise, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

Job Duties:

1. Video Production
• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional campaigns
• Develop storyboards and scripts in collaboration with the marketing and content teams
• Manage video equipment, lighting, and sound to ensure professional-quality output
• Stay up to date with video trends and tools to enhance production value


2. Graphic Design
• Design eye-catching visuals for print and digital media, including brochures, banners, social media posts, and presentations
• Maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistent and cohesive visual identity
• Work closely with internal teams to conceptualize and execute creative projects


3. Photography
• Capture high-quality images for use in marketing materials, websites, and campaigns
• Edit and retouch photos to align with branding and project needs
• Organize and maintain a photo archive for easy access and reuse


4. Production and Printing
• Oversee the production of print materials, ensuring quality and accuracy
• Coordinate with printing vendors to manage timelines and budgets
• Review proofs and samples to confirm alignment with design specifications


5. Broadcast/TV
• Assist in the creation of broadcast-quality video and TV content
• Ensure compliance with broadcast standards and specifications
• Provide support for live or recorded productions as needed 

  6. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field
• Proven experience in video production, photography, graphic design, and print production
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other multimedia software
• Strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, and post-production techniques
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of broadcast/TV production is a plus
• Knowledge of large format printing is a plus
