Job Summary

The KNAT Program Coordinator supports strategic implementation and operational management of the Kentucky Nurse Aide Training (KNAT) Program. This role ensures statewide consistency, regulatory compliance, and system­ level collaboration to maintain high-quality nurse aide education and testing services throughout the KCTCS system and external training partners.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.

KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time.

Job Duties:

Support the management and administration of all KNAT-related operations in collaboration with the Program Manager. Manage scheduling and documentation for testing outcomes, training availability, provider performance, and satisfaction surveys. Coordinate and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to KNAT Coordinators. Provide responsive end-user support to statewide training and testing providers, maintain updates to the KCTCS Nurse Aide website, and monitor the nurse aide testing email inbox. Serve as the subject matter expert on the TMU system by developing and maintaining training materials while ensuring system functionality and accessibility.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to Nurse Aide and Medication Aide programs. Maintain updated knowledge of policies and procedures from regulatory bodies. Prepare and coordinate site audits and assist with mid-year and annual DMS monitoring reports. Interpret and communicate relevant regulations to training providers and oversee any needed corrective actions. Coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure aligned enforcement and quality control.

Manage the Test Master Universe (TMU) testing platform and OnBase document management system to support KNAT program delivery. Collaborate with the Headmaster vendor to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and ensure system functionality. Develop user training materials, manage access permissions, and contribute to system security. Use advanced Excel functions to analyze program data, ensure reporting accuracy, and inform operational decisions.

Foster effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders. Maintain strong working relationships with external partners such as Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN), Department for Medicaid Services (DMS), the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), and Headmaster. Represent KNAT at annual and semi-annual KNAT Coordinator meetings, the annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) conference, and internal healthcare team meetings. Promote cross-agency collaboration and consistent implementation of program goals. Support the Program Manager in aligning stakeholder engagement with program planning.

Oversee the Methods of Instruction (MOI) course process for new KNAT instructors. Collaborate with instructional teams to ensure course quality and curriculum alignment. Lead the planning and delivery of the KNAT Coordinators Conference and other professional development events.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Business, Communications, Education and six (6) years of relevant experience or equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Business, Communications, Education and seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent.
