The Retention and Resources Coordinator for the Title III grant at SKYCTC is a critical role focused on supporting student success through retention initiatives and resource coordination.
Job Duties:
The Retention and Resources Coordinator for the Title III grant at SKYCTC is a critical role focused on supporting student success through retention initiatives and resource coordination. This individual will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to implement strategies that enhance student retention, while leveraging available resources to remove barriers to completion. The Coordinator will play an integral role in the administration of the Title III grant, ensuring the achievement of the grant’s objectives related to student success and persistence.
• Retention Strategy Implementation: Develop, coordinate, and monitor retention programs and initiatives designed to improve student persistence and completion rates.
• Case Management: Work one-on-one with students to coordinate referrals to academic support, advising, and other campus and community resources.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report retention-related data to assess the effectiveness of retention strategies. Assist with the preparation of grant reports to meet Title III reporting requirements.
• Student Resource Coordination: Identify and connect students with available resources that can help address academic, financial, and personal challenges.
• Collaboration with Faculty and Staff: Serve as a liaison to support students’ academic and personal needs.
• Workshops and Training: Plan and conduct workshops, training, and informational sessions for students, faculty, and staff on topics related to retention strategies, financial literacy, and available student resources.
• Outreach and Communication: Implement proactive outreach campaigns to engage students who are at-risk of leaving, using various methods such as email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
• Compliance and Grant Management: Ensure compliance with the Title III grant requirements and guidelines. Monitor budget expenditures for retention-related activities in line with the grant's provisions.
• Student Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of students, working to eliminate barriers to their academic success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling or student affairs and 4 years of related experience is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; possess excellent customer service, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience handling confidential information and possess a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and ability to work independently or as a member of a highly functioning team. This position requires a high level of professionalism and initiative, as well as the ability to meet deadlines, to work under pressure, and to adjust to changing priorities.
