Tuition Waiver

All Colleges within KCTCS offer tuition waivers to employees, spouses and dependent children (age 23 or less, as defined by federal financial aid guidelines) for up to 18 credit hours per year (six hours in the fall, spring, and summer) per person at any KCTCS college.

Community Service Day

KCTCS employees receive 7.5 hours of paid time off to volunteer per Fiscal Year (July 1 – June 30). Spend your day-off volunteering and wearing your College's gear making our community a better place!

Institutional Close

All Colleges within KCTCS observe a two-week institutional closing beginning in December, which will include the day before Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

First Year Experience Area Coordinator

The First Year Experience (FYE) area coordinator is an 11-month employee, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program and works collaboratively with the Dean of Academic Services, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Vice Chancellor of Student Services and the College Chancellor. The area coordinator assists in the planning and effectiveness evaluation, development, and implementation of FYE program goals. The FYE area coordinator is a key individual in the program’s institutional effectiveness process.

Instructors plan and carry out instructional activities, maintain records and reports on student attainment and progress, and participate in professional development activities

Adult Education Instructor

Paducah
Provides academic instruction to adult education students by planning, delivering, evaluating, and documenting effective lessons aligned with state and federal standards. Assesses student progress, maintains an engaging and well-managed learning environment, supports student success, and participates in ongoing professional development while meeting Kentucky Adult Education performance goals. Must be willing and able to work in a correctional facility environment, providing educational instruction to incarcerated individuals while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to all institutional policies and security procedures. This is a 10-month staff position, and will not perform work during the months of June and July.

Workforce Solutions - Adjunct Instructor

The Workforce Solutions Subject Matter Expert serves as a part-time instructor responsible for delivering high-quality workforce training in their area of professional expertise. Instructors provide engaging, industry-relevant instruction for open enrollment, customized business and industry training, and other Workforce Solutions initiatives. Subject Matter Experts are employed on a strictly part-time, as-needed basis and are scheduled based on training demand. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering course content, maintaining a safe and productive learning environment, evaluating participant progress as appropriate, and representing Workforce Solutions with professionalism while ensuring training aligns with industry standards and employer needs.
