Job Summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Communication Specialist I to support student recruitment efforts through strategic marketing and outreach. This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about connecting students with educational opportunities and telling the story of how our college transforms lives. The Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing campaigns that attract prospective students and promote enrollment.

Job Duties:

· Develop and implement marketing strategies that support student recruitment goals.
· Create engaging content for digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and the college website,     tailored to prospective students.
· Collaborate with admissions, academic departments, and student services to promote programs, events, and     enrollment deadlines.
· Assist in planning and promoting recruitment events such as open houses, campus tours, and virtual info sessions.
· Attend college events, high school events, community events and career fairs as assigned to promote the College.
· Design and distribute promotional materials including flyers, brochures, and digital ads.
· Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all recruitment communications.
· Support video and photo production for student testimonials, program highlights, and campus life features.
· Develop and distribute press releases, media advisories, feature stories, and communications to support BSCTC's     mission.
· Support the Director of Marketing in evaluating and optimizing marketing strategies.
· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position requires bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations or related field and preference will be given to applicants with college marketing experience.

The qualified applicant will have strong writing and storytelling skills, with an understanding of audience engagement, familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and content management systems, basic graphic design skills, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
