Job Summary

ECTC is seeking a twelve-month Lecturer to focus on coordinating and providing tutoring in subjects such as Allied Health, Biology, and Math while also teaching one or two courses per semester. Teaching assignments may include lectures, lab, or clinical courses based on departmental needs and the candidate's qualifications.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Teach one to two courses per semester, which may include lectures, lab, or clinical instruction.
• Manage STEM lab, including equipment and material organization.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, and students to improve student learning outcomes.
• Assist students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in STEM-related coursework.
• Monitor student progress and provide academic support to those struggling in their coursework.
• Work collaboratively with faculty to develop learning strategies and supplemental instruction materials for Allied Health and STEM courses.
• Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and retention initiatives as needed.
• Serve departmental and college-wide committees to support institutional goals and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support student success and academic excellence.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in a STEM or Healthcare related field OR bachelor’s degree in a STEM or Healthcare field with relevant experience in tutoring, instruction, or a related area.
Successful candidates should demonstrate:

• Experience in teaching and/or tutoring students in Biology, Math, or related STEM fields.
• Experience in coordinating academic support services or running a tutoring/lab center.
• Familiarity with active learning strategies and student engagement techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in helping students overcome barriers
