Job Summary
This full-time staff position will interact with students and prison personnel. This position will be the primary coordinator for all areas related to student services for the students. This person will work with all areas on the main campus as needed to serve the students at the prison locations.
Job Duties:
Create and implement a recruitment plan from inquiry to enrollment including and distributing literature in prison sites within the Big Sandy Region.
Develop and implement a communication plan with potential and current students.
Work with existing college employees to create effective application, transcript, orientation, financial aid, billing processes, etc.
Assist students with placement testing, FAFSA and other financial aid documents, and ensuring all tuition and scholarship awards are applied to student accounts.
Provide academic and transfer advising for students, including creating individual academic schedules.
Maintain outcome reports inclusive but not limited to student success rates, program completion rates, and feedback from students and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years related experience. (Student Services, Criminal Justice).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree and 5 years related experience. (Student Services, Criminal Justice).
Additional Skills Requested:
The qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and experience in student affairs, corrections, or other related experience. Must have excellent computer skills and be comfortable working in the prison environment.
