Job Summary

Madisonville Community College (MCC) is a five-campus institution centrally located along I-69 corridor in beautiful rural Western Kentucky that serves Muhlenberg, Caldwell, Webster, and Crittenden Counties. Job Duties:

Plans, implements, documents, and evaluates instructional practices, procedures, and materials.
• Provides instruction in literacy, adult basic education, GED test preparation, English language acquisition, workforce preparation, and more.
• Uses instructional strategies, learning practices, and tools appropriate to the needs of the adult student.
• Leverages formal and informal assessment data to monitor and document student progress.
• Develop and deliver instruction in math, reading and other subjects as it relates to literacy, GED, and Workforce preparation.
• Administer and interpret appropriate placement and diagnostic tests when necessary.
• Attend and complete Professional Development as required per Madisonville Community College and Kentucky Office of Adult Education.
• Prepare class schedules, syllabi, and lesson plans, as required.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of students.
• Maintain student records and track student performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance program performance.
• Other duties as needed.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule with day and some evening scheduled hours, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or Content-related field.
• Instructors must score within NRS Level 6 on the 11/12 TABE A.
• Instructors must be digitally proficient.
