We are currently accepting applications for a Financial Specialist III that provides support to the business office.
Job Duties:
Duties and Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
• Account management including monitoring for overpayment, issuing refunds as necessary, post charges to accounts, create check requests and invoices, monitor for NSF checks and mail letters as needed, resolve issues with refund list, apply financial holds to delinquent accounts, update student bill each semester to reflect appropriate dates, applying scholarships, 3rd party payees, payment plan and gift passthrough accounts.
• Cashiering duties including opening and closing cash office daily, receipt transactions, create handwritten received for certain transactions, balance daily work and prepare daily deposits.
• 3rd party contract management including creating contracts, providing documentation and invoices to companies, monitoring for unpaid contracts, collecting past due contracts tracking payments, applying payments to contracts and processing refunds when appropriate.
• Dual credit account management including weekly monitoring of reports, continuously monitoring past semesters for any changes to accounts, applying scholarships, invoicing high schools, issuing refunds as appropriate, mailing bills to students.
• Prepare reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
The qualified applicant will have a minimum of four years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Must have excellent customer service skills and a background in accounting or bookkeeping.
