Job Summary

The Education Program in the Behavioral Social Sciences Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a pool of experienced educators to teach online or hybrid classes to pre-service teachers.

Job Duties:

Prepare for and provide instruction aligned with the teacher education course learning outcomes and appropriate to the delivery mode (hybrid, in-person, or online)
Create and maintain updated course materials and gradebook within the learning management system (Blackboard)
Provide prompt communication with students; maintain office hours for mentoring and student support and participate in student success and retention activities
Maintain communication with the education program coordinator; report student progress throughout the semester and complete institutional reporting as required.
Complete all mandatory training required by KCTCS

Minimum Qualifications:

Eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline and a Master’s degree, or a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline required.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience with learning management systems and the ability to work effectively in an academic environment.
