Job Summary

Provide strategic consultation on employee relations and employee engagement/development matters for the Kentucky Community & Technical College System.

Positions with the KCTCS System Office located in Versailles, KY are term-contract positions, with the expectancy of continuance based on performance.


KCTCS offers a hybrid work schedule with a requirement to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per work week. Hybrid work schedules are subject to periodic review and may be modified or terminated at any time

Job Duties:

Serves as primary point of contact and provides accurate, responsive and efficient HR consultation on employee matters, to include: policy and procedure development/implementation/interpretation, conflict resolution, performance management, development and training, and etc.

Work collaboratively with HR colleagues and the Office of General Counsel to conduct thorough and objective investigations into possible policy violations or employee complaints regarding allegations of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct. Coordinate efforts to gather pertinent information, prepare an investigative report with findings, and communicate outcomes to relevant parties.

Advise and support supervisors and managers on employee performance and behavior management, documentation of incidents, and disciplinary action. Serve as a liaison between employees and supervisors to resolve concerns.

Assist in the development and delivery of ongoing development and training offerings to enhance supervisor and employee performance, retention and morale.

Analyze information and data obtained from exit interviews, performance evaluations, and other HR avenues to identify trends, provide statistics and propose strategies and plans to address workforce concerns to leadership. Utilize feedback and identified themes to assist with employee well-being initiatives.

Facilitate a positive work environment by fostering collaborative problem-solving utilizing proven experience and techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Additional Skills Requested:

Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Admin.

Skilled in conflict resolution, policy interpretation, communication, and development of an engaged workplace culture.

HR manager or high level HR business partner.
