Job Summary

Somerset Community College invites applications for an Academic Advisor II - Admissions Counselor position.

Job Duties:

• Assist students with admissions process (phone, email, text, in person)
• Assist prospective students with info (programs, financial aid, student resources, etc.)
• Assist with FAFSA and scholarship applications
• Assist with ordering transcripts (HS, College, GED, AP)
• Assist with setting up User Accounts prior to enrollment
• Make appointments for Advising
• Conduct individual campus tours
• Conduct group campus tours
• Visit territory high schools
• Recruit students at on and off campus events
• Attend college fairs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with two years of related experience or equivalent. Education and relevant work experience may substitute for each other on a year for year basis to meet minimum requirements. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience.
