Title: Facilities Worker II - 2nd Shift

Salary Range: $27,000.00 annual ($13.84 per hour plus $0.30 per hour shift differential)

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Standard Hours: 37.5

Job Summary

Hazard Community & Technical College is inviting applications for a Facilities Worker II. We are currently looking to fill a position for a Tuesday through Saturday shift (Tuesday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) with the location primarily serving our Hazard Campus. Review of applications will begin February 16, 2026.


Job Duties:

Duties will include, but not be limited to

Perform grounds maintenance: mowing, weed eating, planting, snow removal, parking lot repairs.
Perform general custodial duties: cleaning floors, offices, bathrooms, removal of trash.
Perform set up of tables, chairs, stages, etc. for events on campus.
Provides HVAC monitoring/maintenance.
Performs basic installation of receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast; replaces light fixtures.
Perform basic power equipment repairs and upkeep.
Perform basic plumbing: water fountain installations, waterline repairs, valve repairs, drain line maintenance.
Perform basic carpentry; dry walling, painting, door repair, installation of partitions, and installation of ceiling and floor tiles.
*May be assigned to other campuses or shifts as needed.*

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED and one year related experience required. Basic computer/technology skills required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Technology experience and knowledge of building mechanical maintenance preferred.
