Job Summary

The Facilities Worker II position plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. This position is responsible for the daily cleaning, upkeep, and safety monitoring of college facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.

Job Duties:

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, classrooms, and other high-use areas daily.
• Replenish restroom and custodial supplies as needed.
• Gather, empty, and properly dispose of trash and recycling in designated locations.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in both carpeted and non-carpeted areas.
• Dust, clean, and sanitize furniture, fixtures, and surfaces as directed.
• Clean windows (to a safe and accessible height).
• Maintain cleanliness of entryways, sidewalks, and porches.
• Spot-clean spills and stains promptly.
• Monitor building safety and security during routine duties.
• Perform seasonal or special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
