Job Summary

Hazard Community & Technical College is seeking applicants for Lecturer – English (10-month Faculty position). This position is responsible for teaching 21 credit hours per semester in English from developmental level through ENG 102.

Job Duties:

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Deliver instruction, instructional activities, and prepare learning materials for courses each semester in accordance with approved curriculum.
• Use of technology and learning management systems to support instruction.
• Complete instructional support processes such as syllabi development and class organization.
• Participate in professional development (in-service, formal coursework, seminars, etc).
• Maintain office hours depending upon class schedule.
• Engage in tutoring students as needed.
• Participate in curriculum development.
• Conduct course assessments and adjust course content as needed.
• Regularly attend English departmental meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree with 18 hours in English.  

Preferred Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in teaching English preferred.
